Abstract

At the present stage of literary studies, the study of the Russian diaspora of the first wave has achieved significant results, but there are still many white spots. The most interesting is the work of Leonid Fedorovich Zurov. Leonid Zurov appeared to members of the emigrant community in the shadow of I.A. Bunin ("Bunin's Disciple", "Bunin's follower", even "Bunin's epigone") For a long time, the literary community had a negative attitude to the fact that an unfair image of the writer as untalented, ungrateful was cultivated. His psychological state played a significant role in this, which reinforced the fame of a mentally unstable person who lived in Bunin's family as a freeloader. This image took root not only in fiction, but also in cinema. G.V. Adamovich repeatedly turned to the work of Leonid Fedorovich Zurov, but the criticism was ambiguous.
