The work of Irakli Luarsabovich Andronikov, Doctor of Philology, People's Artist of the USSR, has aroused the increased interest of researchers, critics, and reviewers for many decades. The mastery of his lively, vivid, expressive words formed the basis of an innovative type of artistic communication with the audience of radio and television. This article is devoted to the multifaceted talent of Andronikov, a literary critic, novelist, author of unique scientific works on Mikhail Lermontov, and an innovator of personalized television and radio journalism. Considerable attention in the study is paid to the mastery of oral storytelling, its uniqueness as an art form, which I.L. Andronikov mastered perfectly. The purpose of the article is to show the phenomenon of the oral narrative by Irakli Andronikov from the point of view of its development, historical movement, to present the genre originality of creativity, the uniqueness of the versatile personality of the author. The authors have identified common features reflecting the peculiarities of the linguistic personality of the literary critic and the master of the artistic word, who can rightfully be considered an extraordinary phenomenon not only of our philological science, but also of the intellectual stage. The author substantiates the popularity of I.L. Andronikov's unique work, which can become a model for modern speakers, TV and radio presenters, regardless of their interests.
