The article presents concept associated with the teaching of student’s philologists Russian language using texts of elite culture. Attention was drawn to it that the central position of the text in foreign language teaching it is a starting point to implement the communicative tasks. Set the text parameters determining its high cultural value. It details and to discuss the others, which feel an important for teaching a foreign language text layer, how linguistic, cognitive, motivational and educational. In this article proposed system of work with the text of elite culture, which is conducive to the formation and improvement of such components of communicative competence as linguistic, sociolinguistic, cognitive, discursive, cultural competence, social and others, which fill an important role in intercultural communication.
