In recent years, the level of research in the field of text theory has grown. We began the study of the linguistics of the text with I. R. Halperin. One researcher looked at the structure of the text, and another school looked at the content. Text theory is a complex theory. Textual linguistics is a complex field of linguistics. Today, scientists are increasingly studying the theory of text.

The text comes from the Latin word "text", the Kazakh meaning means "to connect, unite." Therefore, the text is formed on the basis of the semantic and personal connection of language symbols.

Learning text theory requires knowledge and skills. The importance of forming the research competence of philologists through the theory of this text is of particular importance. This is due to the fact that philologists pay more attention to research in the educational process in post-graduate education. The article discusses the importance of text-based research competence.
