The article examines the development of the Kazakh language in the context of the modern language policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, focused on the implementation of the concept of trilingualism. The phenomenon of trilingualism is analyzed as a sociolinguistic phenomenon that contributes to the expansion of the functional capabilities of the Kazakh language and at the same time generates transformational processes in its system. Special attention is paid to changes in the linguistic structure of the language, the formation and updating of the terminological base, the stabilization of linguistic norms, as well as the formation of linguistic consciousness of young people in a multilingual environment. The article scientifically substantiates the role of trilingualism as a factor in increasing the competitiveness of the Kazakh language in the context of globalization. It is emphasized that the language policy pursued since the first years of independence, aimed at strengthening the status of the state language, preserving the functions of the Russian language as a means of international communication and developing English as a language of international communication, contributes to the integration of Kazakhstan into the global educational and scientific space.
