This article analyzes the metaphorical usage of speech verbs based on natural and technological sounds in Russian, Kazakh, and English languages. The study aims to identify the patterns of metaphorization and its differences in the three linguistic systems. Special attention is given to verbs denoting thunder, water sounds, and mechanical noises, as well as their semantic features. Analyzing data from the Russian National Corpus, the Almaty Corpus of the Kazakh Language, and the British National Corpus has revealed that natural sounds are metaphorically linked to emotions and voice timbre, while technological sounds convey individual speech characteristics. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of metaphorization mechanisms, linguistic thinking, and intercultural differences.
