Nowadays, speaking Englishis one of the most crucial and occasionally required aspects of all fields. However, achieving mastery in fluency and accuracy poses a formidable challenge for language learners. To improve one‟s speaking skills, sufficient level of vocabulary should be mastered. This article investigates the intricate relationship between vocabulary mastery and Englishspeaking skills, aiming to provide a nuanced understanding of how lexical proficiency influences oral communication com-petence. This study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of how lexical proficiency influences oral communication competence and delves into the pivotal intersection of vocabulary mastery and English-speaking skills, leveraging the innovative Engage, Study, Activate (ESA) method as the instructional framework. Employing a mixed-methods research design, the study integrates quantitative assessments and qualitative analyses to explore the extent to which an individual's command of vocabulary correlates with their ability to articulate thoughts and ideas in spoken English.
