The aim of the study was to identify socially significant topics that are of interest to various social categories of the population of Kazakhstan when choosing news, as well as in identificationof the news impactwith various thematic focus on stimulating sustainable development of the individual (physical, psychological/emotional, social and intellectual stability). The research was carried out in 2 stages: the first was to determine the thematic structure of the Kazakhstan media space; the second oneto study the impact of various topics identified during the first stage on various components of sustainable development of the individual. The work was carried out on the formed corpus of Kazakhstani news texts. Topic modeling made it possible to form key 200 topics in the form of 10 words that best characterize these topics. Results of the study identify subjects that show the greatest degree of influence on the sustainable development of the individual.
