Abstract

This article examines the religious and heroic epics of Hazrat Ali, which constitute an important part of the Kazakh epic and are in direct harmony with the tradition of heroic poetry. Kazakh poets and zhyraus, who wrote religious epics in Kazakh literature through Arabic-Persian literary works, gave them a national shade to make them understandable and accessible to the local people. In the article, we tried to consider the semantic, historical, and linguistic features of the heroic dastans of Hazrat Ali among the religious epics found in the Kazakh steppes. Having made an overview of the heroic poems of Hazrat Ali in Kazakhstan, we also sought to present and describe the written manuscript "Kissa-i Djangname-i Risale-i Shah-i Mardan", written in prose in the Chagatai language in the 19th century.
