The paper emphasizes the importance of cultivating dialogic communication abilities by utilizing dramatic literature. The purpose of this research is to explore the use of dramatic texts as a pedagogical tool for teaching dialogical communication. The authors suggest that students should read the original literary piece from which the dialogue is derived and subsequently provide a report on it. When multiple students have gone through the same material, they can engage in a dialogue to enhance their abilities in open conversation. This approach is effective for both organized classroom instruction and individual reading. In the classroom, students may collaborate on specific sections, while at home, they can discuss the entire play. It’s an excellent method to merge verbal and written language abilities while enhancing critical thinking and communication.
In general, the authors conclude that the usage of dramatic texts promotes greater engagement with language as a social and expressive tool, helps the growth of dialogical thinking, and makes it easier to integrate receptive and productive language abilities. By integrating linguistic, cognitive, and cultural aspects of language learning, this approach helps to develop communicative competence.
