Аbstract

The content of the article examines the names of interest in the modern linguistic space in the Linguistic and social aspect. A name is one of the most important and personal qualities of every person. It stays with us throughout our lives and defines our personality, our cultural traditions and our religious principles. Choosing the right name for a child is also a difficult task. Every parent considers it his duty to give his offspring a good name.

In the article we will analyze the modern names of Kazakh girls. There are mechanisms and principles in which preference is given to choosing a personal name. The study talks about the implementation of these processes. Popular names and their semantic, cognitive analysis are offered. As a result, priorities in naming girls are determined.

Comparative historical, statistical, etymological, and retrospective methods were used in the study. The author gives examples in linguistic usage, comparing scientific statements concerning people's names. The features of the formation and form of names are shown. Statistical data of Stat.gov.taken from the kz website. Based on the data obtained, a comparative analysis was carried out.
