This article is devoted to the analysis and selection of the most effective methods and techniques for teaching the Russian language to foreign students at a medical university, taking into account a number of features characterized by the national and cultural background of the students. The article discusses various ways and means of organizing group work of English-speaking students from India during Russian language classes at a medical university, taking into account the specifics of the topic and language material. To achieve the set goal and objective, various traditional, non-traditional and interactive teaching methods are used, assignments and exercises are given aimed at developing professional communication skills. Using the example of grammatical and lexical topics, specific methods of organizing group work in Russian language classes at a medical university are demonstrated.
