The article presents the results of studying the history of the newspapers “Sheki worker” (“Şəki fəhləsi”) and “Sılkworm breeder” (“İpəkçi”) and analyzes the features of their content. The assertion that the periodical press is a mirror reflection of the state of society has been repeatedly voiced. Therefore, in a healthy imagination, for the normal development and exclusion of the negatives created in society, the development of press organs and its research has always been given great attention. In order to carry out specific research work at all times, national media were distinguished from the general context and studied from the point of view of their theoretical and historical aspects, and writers dedicated their interesting literary works to them. As noted about scientific thought, the researchers of the historical path covered by the national press, who devoted their whole lives to the initiative to revive its entire overall picture, were also creative people, public and literary figures. The Azerbaijani intelligentsia, in their works, quite capaciously described the development of the press in the national literary criticism. But, despite a fairly comprehensive look at the history of the development of the national press, from the point of view of the Azerbaijani national development, the study of the historical development of the regional print media was not deep enough and perfect. From this point of view, a study of the development of the printing industry of the historically rich literary and cultural heritage of Sheki, as both a literary and cultural center, is a very important and necessary thing.
