This article considers the use of information technology in language learning. The efficiency and quality of education in the modern world at the moment is completely dependent on the global rationalization of intellectual activity through the introduction of new information technologies, the training of qualified specialists, the development of new thinking among specialists through the individualization of education.The method of using authentic language material in the Russian language classes is presented, which makes it possible to arouse interest, attract attention, helps to interest students both in the lesson itself and in the material that they study. The use of video materials makes it possible for the complex development of various aspects of communicative competence and the formation of stable skills in the use of language material in relation to specific communication conditions. Audio and video multimedia sources are available to students outside the classroom, and this extends the learning time and provides the opportunity for practice and independent work.The authors of the article describe examples of the use of video materials in the classroom, which make it possible to effectively master the language material, the formation of the communicative ability of students.
